I Am an Educator
Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
At WomenNC, we believe educators are essential partners in advancing gender equity and civic leadership. By connecting classrooms to community action, we help students turn research into advocacy and academic learning into impact. Through mentorship, collaboration, and experiential learning, educators play a vital role in preparing youth to lead both locally and globally.
Ways Educators Can Get Involved
Join the Student Partners Program
Collaborate with WomenNC to integrate gender equity and civic leadership into your curriculum. Faculty partners can align class projects with WomenNC’s research and advocacy model, host guest speakers, and mentor students conducting original research on equity issues.
Students gain real-world experience, while educators help build a bridge between higher education and social change.

Nominate a Scholar or Youth Leader
Encourage high school, community college, or university students to apply for the Juanita Bryant Scholars Leadership Program or Youth Leaders for Change. Nominated students receive leadership training, research mentorship, and the opportunity to present their work at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York City.
Serve as a FEMtor or Workshop Leader
Share your expertise as a FEMtor—a professional mentor guiding Scholars through research and leadership development. Or, host a Youth Leadership Workshop in your classroom or department to help students strengthen skills in advocacy, public speaking, and community engagement.
