Empowering Communities Through Accessible Learning

Our scholars have always presented their work on instances of gender disparity in North Carolina annually at the Local to Global Forum and advocated for policy solutions to improve the status quo to a variety of change-makers across the state. However, WomenNC has expanded our reach as an educational resource for gender equality advocates with our “Critical Conversations” series events.

In these short sessions, we provide an overview of a critical issue with expert panelists who engage with each other in dialogue, take questions and comments from our live audience, offer resources for further education, and provide meaningful ways for them to advocate.

Take a look at some of these webinars on our YouTube Channel. They include discussions about such issues as sex trafficking in North Carolina, the possibility for passage of the ERA in the state, and sexual and reproductive healthcare access.
