WomenNC Delegates at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)
- Priority theme: Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and addressing structural barriers
For the past 16 years, WomenNC has proudly represented North Carolina at the UN—bringing local issues, youth research, and community-driven solutions to a global stage. This experience equips our students with a deeper understanding of global gender equity issues and the tools to return home as stronger leaders, advocates, and changemakers.
WomenNC is committed to ensuring that youth from North Carolina—especially young women, youth of color, and gender-diverse youth—have access to international opportunities traditionally out of reach. CSW gives them the chance to be heard, to lead, and to envision a world where their voices drive change.
This year, WomenNC is proud to host two official events at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, bringing global and local voices together to advance justice, solidarity, and youth-led leadership. Both sessions will be available in person and online.

Through panels, workshops, negotiations, and side events, CSW serves as a powerful platform for shaping global commitments and inspiring local action.
