WomenNC’s Meet the Scholars Networking Event

WomenNC wants to thank those who attended WomenNC's Meet & Greet the Scholars event! This is the first event WomenNC has been able to host with the scholars since pre-COVID. The Board, staff and scholars so appreciate your

support! WomenNC Scholars were able to grab a bite to eat and mix and mingle with those committed to gender equality and women's empowerment through education and leadership training. At the event, scholars were able to share a tidbit about the research they are working on!

We are so excited to learn where their research takes them!

We next hope to see you at WomenNC's annual Local to Global Forum tentatively scheduled for March 2, 2023 where, for the first time since COVID, scholars will present their projects designed to improve the lives of women and girls to a live North Carolina audience. We will send out invitations as we get closer to the event. You will not want to miss it.

We also anticipate that scholars will travel to New York, to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women where, as they have for the past 14 years, they will present their work at the NGO Forum to an international audience of government officials, women’s rights advocates and policy makers. You will also be invited to attend this event in person, and if you can't join us in New York you can do so virtually!
