WNC gets a $52k Grant from Burroughs Wellcome Fund!

WomenNC thanks Burroughs Wellcome Fund for their generous gift to  sustain and broaden our outreach to HBCUs to have their undergraduate students participate as scholars in WomenNC's Leadership Training Program!

WomenNC welcomes scholars from Shaw University, and our already-existing HBCU partner, NC Central University!  Stay tuned: we will introduce our new cohort of scholars in our August newsletter--and watch for them on our social sites.

As part of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund grant WomenNC has added a University Engagement and Student Support Manager, Bridget Pittman-Blackwell, who is also a former WomenNC Scholar. Read her research here.

Ms. Pittman-Blackwell will work implement our DEI Initiatives to strengthen and create relationships with HBCU partners and extend our recruitment efforts to underrepresented students!
